Pam Anderson is one of my favorite cookbook authors. She tends to steer you towards home-made and from-scratch but with empathy for the fact that no one is paying you to cook this stuff, so your time is limited. Just thumbing through this book I can tell it’s a good choice for Fall. The dishes seem well-suited to the new chill in the air and the hint of change. All of a sudden, the thought of turning the oven on for an hour or so isn’t so bad, in fact it’s novel and appealing. We’re ready for apples and squash and simmering and bubbly. Oh yeah…sweaters! New cute boots! Pumpkin flavored baked goods!
This ought to do it.
Hey Kate, thanks for the wonderful review of my mom’s book! I love it too – my favorite is the Coq au Vin Blanc and the Carnitas.
Thanks for looking Maggy and stay tuned for the recipe reviews.
Can’t wait to try your favorites but it’s hard to imagine anything better than the Chicken Potpie!
